Haiku
The yellow sun sets
At the deep nothings of earth.
Water comes and leaves.
Quatrain
Nail biting, pen tapping
Hair ripping, tears crying
Leg jumping, paper flapping
Grades are back. Eyes prying.
Elegy/Ballad
Don't cry your eyes.
Don't wipe your tears.
Sadness is all He hears.
Take a left.
Take a right.
And you're there.
Sit and listen.
Reach your hand out
To touch granite.
Don't cry your eyes.
Don't wipe your tears.
Sadness is all He hears.
Set the flowers
By the stone.
Protect them from the wind.
Sit and talk.
He only wants to listen
To your words.
Don't cry your eyes.
Don't wipe your tears.
Sadness is all He hears.
It's been a year
Since you've been.
He misses you.
Sit and listen.
He only wants you to listen.
To tell you to be happy.
So…
Cry your eyes.
Then wipe your tears.
So happiness is all He hears.
